Beverly, I am off searching in the weeds because I came to a dead end trying to find a father for my ancester Garret Groesbeck, born 1807 in Albany, NY. Seems all the records stop at 1804. He married Elsie Walley in NY, and had 6 children born in Bethlehem and Watervliet, NY. Then went to ILL. John Walley living in Williamstown, MA is Elsie's brother. His wife is Elizabeth Groesbeck (1799 NY-1868 Williamstown.) I don't know if she is a sister to my Garret--or what. Then I saw the Whipple with a Groesbeck wife and I thought maybe there was a family connection. I know nothing about them. There must be a death record for her that should give parents but I live so far from Williamstown.
