I don't have any proof so didn't want to mention it but I suspect Caroline was not from Maine but rather the Caroline A. born to Oliver Whipple and Polly Woodberry 2.4.1939 in Hamilton, MA found in the VR there. If you look at the 1880 census Albion Dudley is 63 and his wife Caroline A. is 47 born in MA, parents born in MA. With them is the son Thomas, age 15. Albion and Caroline were married 1879 in Hamilton which is just northeast of Danvers. I believe I saw something about Albion Dudley in the History of Freemasonry of Danvers MA but can't find the reference at the moment and can't recall if it mentioned his wife Caroline, if it did, there was no further info on her. I have not been able to find any further record of Caroline Dudley post the death of Albion and perhaps she remarried. Perhaps your best source might be an obituary which might give further info. Good luck with your research.
