Ohio Connections?

My mother's family were proud of their Whipple family connections and by word of mouth we are supposed to be related to the William Whipple who signed the Delaration of Independence.

But the name seems to have been passed down as a middle name on the female side of the family

Jane Whipple Hoffmann 1909-1988 -my aunt

Her parents -
Parents - Frederick Joseph 1876-1937-Sallie C Reemelin 1884-1973

HIs sister Emily Whipple Hoffmann

and their parents

Julia Whipple Purcell b 1852 -Frederick A. Hoffmann

Her parents were

Samuel Purcell (b1816 Pennsylvannia) and his wife Emiline/Amiline W. Purcell
b1816 Mass.
my guess her maiden name may have been Whipple.

But using Ancestry from the UK I cannot get any further and I can find no more details from family papers.

Does any one have any links to an Emily/Emiline Whipple marrying a Purcell and moving to Ohio!

Thanks in advance! vicki
