His parents were Elisha Whipple b.1804, settled in Livingston Co.,NY married Maria Post b.1803 Cayuga Co.,NY. Nine Children:
1.Jacob Whipple b.1839 (listed above)
2.George Whipple b.1829 m. Helen M. Herrick b.1834 Castile, Livingston Co.,NY. They were married in 1853. Two children: 1. William Whipple b.1866 and Charles Seldon Whipple b.1872
