Hello everyone, I am looking for any information anyone might have about my great grandmother, Leta Wilbanks Shook. She was born 1896+/- year or two, and married to Seward W(Washington, I think) Shook. They had kids, one of which was my grandfather George Washington Shook. GW married Mary Louise Tarrant and they had 4 kids born in the 40's: Barbara, Gay, George Edwin, and Dale. My father is George Edwin. As of this posting, I know not the names of Leta's parents, or where they were from. I know not where she was born, or where she grew up. I would assume it was in MO somewhere, assuming she didn't travel far as a child back then. Leta and Seward had a farm in the Central parts of Missouri, not far from Fayette, MO. I know there's a town in southern MO named Shook, MO, (I think it's near Poplar Bluff) and I'm also trying to find the connections there, but more specifically I'm trying to focus this search on the Wilbanks side. If any of these names ring a bell, please let me know what you know. Specifically, I'd love to find out all the information I can about my ggrandmother, Leta. Please reply to this posting, or just email me at anyone of the following: shookinator@hotmail.com, shookmatthew@yahoo.com, matthew.shook@me.navy.mil. I check them all regularly Thanks a bunch, Matthew in the Persian Gulf Notify Administrator about this message?
