I have run upon a brick wall on ancestory of Robert Smith b. 1815 Lincoln Co, NC, d. 26 Nov 1880 Gaston Co, buried at Goshen Presbyterian Church Cem in N. Belmont Gaston Co, NC----Wife was Wilmuth "Willie" Fite, b. 1820 Lincoln Co,NC, d. 13 Feb 1897 in Mecklenburg Co, NC.Buried Moores Chapel Church Cem in N.W. Mecklenburg Co. They had a son Monroe Decater Smith, b. 26 Jun 1851 Mecklenburg Co, NC d. 05 mar 1916 in Gaston Co, NC. Buried Hollywood Cem. in Gastonia, GAston Co, NC. Monroe's wife was Susan Octavia Cashion b. 9 Feb 1857 in Lincoln Co, NC and d. 21 Mar 1923. Buried Hollywood Cem in Gastonia, Gaston Co, NC
Any assistance anyone might be able to give me on Robert's ancestry will be greatly appreciated.He was my gggrandfather.
