Asa Wilkinson's Ancestry/ [Capt. Wm. Wilkinson]

I have just now learned that I have another Wilkinson lineage, making this two total.

1.) Asa Wilkinson, b. 1807, SC d. Jan 1, 1872, Monroe Co., AL. m. Elizabeth Dykes. (His father's name might be Archibald)

2.) Captain William Wilkinson, from Appleton, Suffolk, England, m. 1630 to Parnell Negose.

Capt. Wm. Wilkinson is an Immigrant. Don't know when he was born, or when he died. His daughter, Tabitha, was born 1632, Bermuda, and died in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. This would elude that Capt. Wm. Wilkinson probably settled in CT as well. I know its quite a stretch to migrate from CT to SC via covered wagon, but considering that approx. 4 generations could have spanned between Tabitha's brother (assuming she had any) to Asa, it is possible!

Does anyone else think that there may be a possibility that Capt. Wm. Wilkinson could be the ancestor of Asa Wilkinson?
