Seeking parent's names of my 3 great grandfather, John D. WILCOX. His tombstone is in a cemetery on Jervis Street in Rome, New York, and carries the following inscription:
John D. Wilcox, died December 21, 1861, born Stonington, Connecticut, May 17, 1789; wife is Sarah Williams, born Mystic, Connecticut January 4, 1790, died August 19, 1863.
His wife Sarah is also named as Sally in a census. Thanks to Bud W.'s help in the past.
