Hello: My name is Dan Williams, I live in Mahaska co., IA. My family came from Wales in mid to later 1700's and settled in Grayson co., VA.. In the early 1800's they moved to Logan co., Oh., and in 1852 they moved to Mahaska co., IA., and some moved into Hardin co., OH.. Every where my family went the descendants of Richard were there. I have always thought these 2 families were related. I was DNA tested last spring and am Williams DNA Group 32. I would gladly pay for a DNA test and have it sent to a living male Williams home that is positively descended from Richard Williams and Prudence Beals. A DNA test is easy to take it consists of a cotton swab to the inside of a mans cheak, send it off to family tree DNA. It has to be some one with an all male descent from Richard that bares the Williams name. Males always pass down the same Y chromasones to there sons. If any body knows of some one that is descended from Richard that has been DNA tested, then that would work to. If any one knows of a living male descendant of Richard with an All male lineage back to him and would be willing to take the test, please let me know how to make contact with him. Dan
