Williams Family Genealogy Forum

Hello Ollie; You will never regret it. If you are like most people, you will learn more from that test than you could have ever figured out with out it. I can't say that every one will be as lucky as me and have several matches. I used to be the only one in my family that was interested in Genealogy, or so I thought. But after my DNA results were in, and I had matches where there tree's went back to the exact area in the same era in time. There were people that hunted there family tree's just like me that we never had any idea that we were related untill we matched DNA. Now we hunt together, we have each others records to add to our own. I don't hunt alone any more. We have managed to track down living descendants of people from the 1700's and done 5 way splits on the cost of there DNA with great results. We have a ball together, and DNA made it all possible. There was another Williams family that migrated from Grayson, VA. to Logan OH. with mine that I pulled hair for 10 years trying to connect and never could. I managed to make contact with a living male Williams from that family last month. 5 of us split the cost of a 37 marker DNA kit and next month I will finaly know the answer to a 10 year old question. DNA is what made this all possible. If more people just knew the power of DNA and what it could do for them. The people in my group swear by it.
