John WOLF/WOLFE was born ca Aug 1821 WASHINGTON CO., PA. Parents unknown. Married 1849 to Nancy OWEN/OWENS (b. ca 1830 OHIO) d/o Elizabeth OWENS (b. 1793 PA).

Nancy had at least two brothers; Levi b. 1822 and David b. ca 1828. David married Sarah J. Zigler 1856 Pulaski Co., Ind. David and Sarah remained in Pulaski Co. until their deaths in the 1910/1920's. No info on Levi; may have died in the Civil War.

John and Nancy married in Delaware Co. OH in 1849 and relocated to Pulaski Co., IND by 1850. Nancy's mother Elizabeth Owens and her two sons: Levi and David were all living with John and Nancy Wolf in 1850. John purchased land in that county in 1854. I believe all of John and Nancy's children were born in Pulaski and Cass Counties, Ind.
1850, 1870 and 1880 Pulaski Co., Ind. census'

In Putnam Co.(Floyd Twp), Indiana in 1864 John Wolf enlisted in the Civil War; serving in Co. "B" 142nd Reg; stating that he was born in 1824 WASHINGTON CO, PA.

John died 15 Oct 1904 and is buried Vermilion Co., Ill (Ross Twp/Bethel Cem) near his son Elso.

If any one can help me with this family, please contact me. This is definitely a "dead end". Need information on John Wolf and his wife Nancy Owen/Owen's. I have information on Lauretta/Loretta (our ancestor), Elsworth/Elso, Ida, William and Lilly D.

Thank you in advance.
