Thank you so much for your response to this posting. Perhaps we can share info about James Worthington. Assuming he truly was a silk weaver, I have him born 1814 in Macclesifled; in the British censuses of 1861, 71, and 81; and in the Death Register of 1884. If the right Worthington, he had moved to London and continued a weaver in the silk factories there, boarding with several families and never marrying. Do you know someting about his family? I would delight to see it as I have been unable to pinpoint which Worthingtons he belonged to.
