I found a great book on the Rev. William Worthington of Saybrook, CT by Helen Evertson Smith called Colonial Days and Ways. It states that Rev. William had 5 daughters and 1 son. The son, William, was a Col. in the Revolutionary War and died unmarried. The daughters were not named (OF COURSE!!!) while their husbands were. The youngest daughter married Dr. Aaron Elliott, son of Rev. Jared Elliott of Killingworth (now Clinton) CT. the 2nd daughter named Temperance married in 1756/7 Rev. Cotton Mather Smith of Sharon, CT. Another daughter married Col. John Ely of Lyme, CT later living in Newport, RI. Another daughter married Elnathan Chauncey. Another daughter married William Hopkins. I am looking for the first name and dates of Mrs. William Hopkins as this is my Hopkins line. Also want to know if she is daughter of wife (1) Temperance Gallup or 2nd wife of Rev. William Worthington. This book had much Worthington genealogy and that of many related families as well. Contact leeashmore2003@yahoo.com for more info. Any help on the Hopkins will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lee Notify Administrator about this message?
