Battle of the Bulge

Hello! I have tried for a long time to find out more about the unit my uncle served with during the Battle of the Bulge. According to his discharge paper he was a Radioman with the 103rd Engineer Combat Batt. C company. In a picture of him I can see what looks like the 28th Inf.Div. patch, and, I have found out that his Battalion was attached to that Division. In the great book written by Hugh M.Cole about the Battle of the Bulge, other companies are mentioned, such as company B, D, and K when they were in action around Skyline Drive. I'm wondering if most of the men in C company were killed, or captured during the initial attack by the Germans, because, I remember my uncle saying that he and a couple of other guys were hiding when the tanks and troops went by them. He didn't say any more about that, but, I do remember getting a V-mail from him when I was 8 years old, and, I'm sure he mentioned Bastogne, and, I brought it to school to read in front of the class, which made me feel important! I think it was possible that he ended up with another unit after he avoided being captured by the Germans. I have searched all over the internet for C company, but, I have come up empty. I will be most grateful if somone "out there" can help me.
