Hello again, First of all, thank you for sending me an example of the letter that I can use for getting the Morning Report, etc. And, I finally have found where C company was from 17-23 December 1944! I looked at one of the maps pertaining to the Battle of the Bulge, and, when I saw St.Vith, I remembered my uncle mentioning that he was there, and sure enough, when I went to Google I found that his unit had been attached to the 7th Armored Div. during the battle for St.Vith, also there is a summary about the battle there written by the US Armor School titled : Battle at St.Vith, Belgium 17-23 Dec 1944 : An Historical Example of Armor in Defense. It was published by Merriam Press, and, I have ordered a copy. I'll wait to see if there is anything mentioned about his unit, I have a feeling there won't be very much, so, I'll probably end up sending that letter. I'm so glad that I was able to remember about St.Vith! However, I am still a little confused, because, like I mentioned before, he said that he was hiding with a couple of guys watching the German tanks and troops going by during the initial attack on the 16th of December, so, obviously they were able to find out that their unit had gone to St.Vith. Hopefully this will be cleared up in the near future. I'll keep you up to date on how I'm doing with this search.
