Hi, Here is what I believe to be your father's partial enlistment information below the **** line.

Have you tried to send away for his records at the NPRC? If not, complete the Standard Form 180 in the link below. Hopefully he records did not burn in the fire of 1973.

Also, you might try contacting the State Archives of Alabama to see if they have any of his military information. Or the state/county where he settled after the war if not in Alabama.

If he collected VA benefits, they should have some military information. Also, if he was a member of the VFW, they may have some records.
