Hi Andrea, thanks so much for the quick reply. I have that info, but thank you. I also sent away for his records and was told, sadly, that his records did burn in the fire of 1973. I found a Townsville, Australia site that did prove informative and I was able to correspond with someone who was in the 4th Air Depot Group, but who did not know my dad, unfortunately.

My big problems is that the 5th AF had numerous bomb groups, as did all of the other units of the AF. So, it will be extremely hard to find who he flew with without crew/mission lists. That is why I wanted to find a 5th AF researcher - they would probably have much more info than is found on the net...or find someone who knew my dad.
