US Forces in France 1944/1945

A friend in France has asked for my help in identifying which US units were involved in the liberation of Bliesbruck in March of 1945. Bliesbruck is a small town in Lorraine very close to the German border. US troops arrived in the vicinity in December of 1944 but did not liberate the town until March of 1945. The closest towns of any size are Sarreguemines in France and Saarbrucken in Germany. I do have a picture taken shortly after the town was liberated showing troops from I Company of the 255 Infantry Regiment but I have not been able to locate any information on that unit. Any help would be appreciated.
