William, I'm a hobbyist only, but here is what I found online. The 255th Infantry was one of the infantry regiments in the 63rd Infantry Division. A brief allusion to the action about which you are seeking info can be found at this web page: http://ranger95.com/divisions/63d_ID_ord_bat_hist_ww2.htm More info about the regiment can be found at this web page, which is included with other info about the Division at their vet association web site: http://www.63rdinfdiv.com/255thinfregtpage1.html I googled Bliesbruck AND liberation and found nothing referencing other units. This, of course, does not suggest there were no other units involved in the liberation of the town – only that my cursory search yielded no results. To determine if other units were involved, one would have to dig deeper. Notify Administrator about this message?
