Greetings, Mr. Crouch, and thank you for "filling in the blanks".

I could place the 255th IR near the Bitchie Pocket, but never in/near the target city.

Your 45th ID has such a long, commendable history of Campaigns: Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Rome, Southern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe, and you might add your D-Day with the invasion of Italy at Salerno, 10 Sept 43.

Small wonder that the 179th IR could handle a company of Storm Troopers.

...KIA, 3547, WIA, 14441, DFW, 533...that's well over a division...what a record.
