Fronzek (ID *****3367) Date: September 16, 2008 at 21:06:06 In Reply to: merchant seaman by monica covell of 19350 A huge number of merchant seamen died during WWII but they were considered civilians and their records were kept by their union which handed out the assignments. Somebody has those records but not the military archives. I would google up NARA (National Archives)to see if they have them. The Merchant Marine was a very important part of our WWII activities and it's records would have historical importance. Notify Administrator about this message?
