Thanks a lot for your reply. Where did you find the extracts of Horton Yardley poetry? I have searched and found nothing.

I had read your history of the Yardleys but as it goes up to 1700, I couldn't fit my line in with that history as I haven't gone back so far. Thanks for the information on how my line might fit in with the other Yardleys.
