I am looking for the ancestors of Jesse Holbrook York b. 4/12/1843 in Brunswick, Maine. He married Julia Augusta Hinckley b. 3/26/1845 on 9/6/1868 in Bruswick. I am looking for information on his parents and back...his father was John York who married Abigail Eliza Melcher in Exeter NH on 12/18/1802 and his second wife Mary Elizabeth Holbrook on 8/30/1826. They emigrated to Maine eventually where they both passed. This is as far as I have gotten. John York's father I believe was John Carr York, but I am not positive.
More info on Jesse Holbrook York's sibilings...he had 6 sibilings: Colby W. Mercy Marden, Abigail, George H., Asa, and Charles Dana.
I am also stuck in trying to find Mary Elizabeth Holbrook's parents, who I believe were Captain Jesse Holbrook and Lucy Pennell, both from Maine.
Any information you could help me with will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
