I am looking for any information anyone could give me about my descendants and my family history. Where do "my" Yorks originally hale from? There is very little information I have regarding "how much I know" but it has been a work in progress and I'm willing to share.
My fater is Joseph York, son of Walter John York, son of Freeman York, son of John Thad York, son of Daniel B. York.
John Thad York married Catherine Terriault. His siblings were: Mary, Azel, Eliza, Sarah, Moses, Susan, Harriett, Annete, Freeman.
Daniel B. York was born in 1810 in Standish, Cumberland County, ME......he married Serena Morrison born 1829. Serena's parents were Elizabeth "Betsy" Drew born 11/25/1805 and Stephen Morrison born 1/13/1796. Stephen's parents were Samuel Morrison and Margaret Webber. Margaret Webber's parents were Edmond Webber and Dorothy Stewart. Samuel Morrison's parents were Samuel Morrison and Huldah Stewart.
Serena Morrison's brothers and sisters were: Sylvanus born 1835, Lauretta born 1843, Philena born 1845, and William born 1847.
I have no information on Daniel B. Yorks siblings....however I was able to find this information on an earlier posting within this forum:

Fenton McQuinnie York b 1928 d 1994 m Margaret Helen Carter b 1929 d 1968 breast cancer had
Robin Marie York b 19-- m David William Thorpe b 19-- had me

Hi Stephanie...Just saw your message posted in May.....I am a York...John York-b.1642-married to Ruth Graves-b.1644 were my 8 times great grandparents.He was born in Dover,N.H. and died in Norridgewock,Me.She was born in Yarmouth,Me.and died there.They were married in 1966 in Dover.There children were Abraham(my 7 times g grandfather)-Ruth-Richard-Benjamin and Joseph.
Joho's parents were Richard and Susan Starling and Ruths parents were William and mother unknown.
John York died in 1690 in a Indian attack along with 2 of his sons at Casco Fort,Saco,me.and was burried in Norridgewock.Hope this is of some help to you...let me know as I have a lot of York information"
