1820 Rutherford County, NC
Maryann York 45&up Wife of William York
Male 26-25 Male 0-10
Female 16-26
Female 16-26
Female 10-16
Female 10-16
Female 0-10

1820 census Burke Co., NC
William York 010001-10100
1820 Burke Co., NC
Caly Smith 210000-21010

The above two families in Burke Co., NC census are living next door to each other but all the children seem to be Caty Smith's and Wm York's. He was married to another woman at this time and all his children with his wife are still with his wife in Rutherford Co., NC. This census seems to prove that he had 9 children by Caty which were 4 sons and 5 daughters before 1820. He may have had another son by her bet. 1825-1830. The land record may just name the children that stayed in Burke Co., NC.
