My ancestor Jesse Bray married to Nancy Jones, had a son Alston Bray who married a Ruth York, Ruth's brother is named Solomon York, and his plantation was located by 'Deep River'. According to Randolph Co, NC Genealogical Journal, Ibid, page 23: Abstracts of Coroner's Inquests, 1851-1890, states Alston Bray died on Solomon York's plantation from exposure to wet and cold on a snowy evening as he attempted to cross Deep River in a canoe. He died c Jan. 5, 1851.
My question is does anyone have any additional records of a Ruth York and Solomon York, who their parents would have been. Does anyone know where this 'Deep River' plantation would have been located? Thank you.
