Update : Found in my Grand Mother's bibles and other stuff ( note books papers in her bibles ) that Ellen York's father's name was Charlie York ( born in England ) and he was a ship Capt. and he and her mother ( born in Florida ) were both lost and Ellen was only survivor ! She was put with boarders to be raised and she is found with the Danl Hodges family in Kearnes, Texas in 1860 census at the age of 8 or 9 yrs old. Still looking !! Need more !! LaVelle
