If you found him on SSDI, send for his social security application. That should give you where he was born, his parents names, maybe other information. If you know where and when he died, try to contact area newspapers to see if an obit was published, also try to find the funeral home who handled arrangements.
Also you might subscribe to the YOUNGER mail list at rootsweb, send a message to YOUNGER@rootsweb.com, in the body of the message, type subscribe and send. You will get a message back letting you know you've been added. Then you can post a query there, and hopefully someone will recognize the name.
