Yes, this is true - according to Marley Brant's book, "The Families of Charles Lee and Henry Washington Younger". Here is what she wrote: "Laura was born Jan 1, 1832 in Jackson Co. MO. She married William H. Kelley (born Oct 19, 1824 in Kentucky - died Dec 24, 1890. Buried in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.) Kelley was a freighter over the Sante Fe Trail and, during the Civil War, was captured at Vicksburg. Later he was a farmer. His first wife was a woman named Turner. They had one child: Mary (born Sept 5, 1844 in Columbia, MO - died Apr 21, 1923). Will Kelly is often mistaken for Ed O'Kelley, killer of Jesse James' assassin, Bob Ford. They were not the same man. Laura died on Dec 15, 1924, apparently separated from Kelley. She is buried in Amoret, MO. Laura and Will had two children: Coleman W., born Nov 13, 1850 - died April 6, 1940, and Ellen (born in 1860."
