The patriarch of this Zimmerman Family, Andreas Zimmerman, married Elizabeth Freyberger, who was the widow of Andreas Freyberger. There is a strong possibility that Anna’s personal surname was Mueller, because that was the last name of the sponsor for one of Anna’s children. The sponsor, Maria Susanna Mueller, probably was Anna Elisabetha’s sister, after whom she was naming her child, Maria Susanna Zimmerman (my ancestor).
Also, as you probably know, after Hans Michael Zimmerman died in Montgomery County, MD in March of 1741, Anna Elizabeth married Jacob Kuerr in July of that same year in Red Hill, PA. They must have then moved with a number of the other Goshenhoppen families to Frederick County, MD.
