I am so confused, I hope someone can help; there is so much conflicting information on the web. Well, this is what I have:
1. James S. Carpenter born 1833, Kentucky (ggggrandfather)
2. Michael Carpenter born 1804, Madison County, Virginia md. Nancy Bybee
3. Andrew Carpenter born 1770, Culpeper County, Virginia md Elizabeth Kinslow
4. Michael Carpenter born 1737, Culpeper County, Virginia md Mary Crisler
5. John Carpenter Abt 1700 in Germany md Anna Barbara Kerker
6. Christopher Zimmerman abt. 1680 Germany md. Elizabeth Albrecht
I found a book called "Clasping Hands With Generations Past" which is about Christopher Zimmerman and allied lines, which has confused matters more for me. The author says that the Carpenter line and Zimmerman line are connected but not directly.I really would appreciate some help.
