Hi Rita,
I have noticed you and I seem to have the same line of descent from Andreas Zimmerman and Anna Elizabeth Freyberger. On 9/23/2008, I posted information on this site about problems with John Zimmerman (1752-1809)of Frederick County, Maryland. I have found information that Hans Michael Zimmerman II moved to Lincoln County, NC and only had two children, Michael and Catherine, at the time of his death in NC 1758-1759. His widow, Elizabeth, had married John Killian by 1759. His son, Hans Michael III (Michael) seems to have stayed in North Carolina: therefore, he can't be our John Zimmerman who married Catherine Barbaba Lutz in Frederick County, MD. Can you provide any help with this? To me this is really a break in the line of descent from the immigrant, Andreas Zimmerman. Please read my post of 9/23/08 on John Zimmerman of Frederick County, Maryland and let me know what you think.
