I am looking for any information on my Gr gr grandparents. I have the following information:
William Zimmmerman; b:Feb 1851
Father: G (can't read death certificate) Zimmerman
Immagrated from Germany in or about 1881. With wife and at least 2 children listed below.
Louise Zimmerman; b:Mar 1854
Father:John Gnakow (Gnekow, Geneker)
Frank Zimmmerman; b:Sept 1878
Frieda Zimmmerman; b:Oct 1880
Their are listed living in Cleveland, Ohio in the 1900 census, with my Gr grandfather William born in May 1884, death certificate shows birth in Feb 1884. Also a daughter named Clara and son named Richard. William and Clara's death certificates show that they were born in Michigan, but Cencus records show they were born in Ohio. William died in Michigan in 1920. Please let me know if anyone might know any information on where this family came from in Germany.
