Hello Donna,
I am pleased to see your post. I do not know much about this family. Actually I believe I am living on the same farm that he once owned. I have not been able to get any records or info on the land from the pa archives.
What little I have read tells me that Peter Zimmerman (Carpenter) was born 1752, married Maria Shirk 1777. He died 1823 in Liberty Twsp, Fairfield, Adams Co PA.
John Clark was married to Peter's daughter. I believe there was another daughter named Barbara, or possibly she was Peter's sister, Barbara was married to John Maartin. their son was John Zimmerman Martin. I found this info in some research done by Emmitsburg Historical Soc. (researching the Gingell-Shanks Mill). Also in my searching I found Peter's parents : Hans and Anna (K. Weaver) married 1742. He died 1786. and he was the son of Clause, and the Grand son of Niclause.
